Driver Independent Evaluation
Drive Quest’s Driver Independent Evaluation can help people returning to driving after a disability and young adults with disabilities who are preparing to drive independently.
The evaluation focuses on current driving ability, learning needs, safe vehicle operation, and whether additional training or adaptive equipment should be considered. Recommendations can then be used to build an individualized training plan.
Defensive Driver Training (DDT)
Our DDT program is available for individual and fleet drivers, including drivers who have been involved in collisions, received citations, or need corrective training.
A Drive Quest Driving Analyst can review driving history, observe current performance, use commentary-driving techniques, and coach the driver on hazard recognition, space management, visual search, anticipation, and defensive decision-making.
State DDT versus private fleet training
California maintains a formal Defensive Driver Training program for State employees who drive on official State business. Private employers may have different training requirements based on their own policies, insurer requirements, and operations.
Drive Quest’s evaluation and defensive-driving services can support private employers and individuals without representing that every private employee is subject to the State employee DDT rule.
